Gavilan Hills Community New Thought Church will present “Indigo,” a movie about loneliness, redemption and taking responsibility for one’s choices. The film follows the story of Ray (played by “Conversations with God” author Neale Donald Walsch), whose life and family have dissolved because of choices that have resulted in bankruptcy, jail and the family’s estrangement. Ray goes on the run with his 10-year-old granddaughter Grace (Megan McCandless) to protect her from a would-be kidnapper. Grace is one of the Indigo Children, those with certain psychological “gifts” such as deep compassion, heightened perception and healing powers, and along the way, Ray discovers the power of Grace’s gifts.

“We thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to give the people of the area a chance to see it , but it’d also help get our name out into the community,” said Patti Lemon, vice president of the board of trustees of the church. “It’s going to be basically the biggest New Thought event that’s ever been in South Valley. We’re hoping this’ll bring more focus on New Thought ideas and philosophy.”

The New Thought Church is a “spirit-centered, practical, positive church that expresses love and acceptance through interaction with each other and the community.”

Tickets to see the film are available at Spirit of The Earth New Age Shop, 8367 Church St. in Gilroy, (408) 846-6365, as well as through the New Thought Church or Lemon at (408) 497-2047.
