Castro Valley Ranch announced the appointment of Mr. Richard J. Neuenschwander (Rick) as its new ranch manager. Neuenschwander succeeds Mr. Don Long as ranch manager. In this position Rick now manages all aspects of the ranch including the cattle and hunting activities together with quarry and timber operations. Rick has more than 20 years of large farm and cattle operations management experience, 10 years of which were in Western Fresno County. He and his wife Shannon reside at the ranch together with four of their children.
Long will now focus on longer term ranch activities and community relations including supporting the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce, the Gilroy Economic Development Corporation and various local civic and educational organizations.
