Dorothy J. Spalding died in Hollister on June 14, 2007 at the age of 76. She was born in Mena, Arkansas, then lived in Santa Maria, CA. She had lived in Hollister for the past two years and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Her favorite pastime was cooking and sewing.
She is survived by her son Rick Spalding of Hollister and her brothers, sisters and their spouses; Robbie and Bill Harper of Oroville, CA, Clarence Heath Jr. of Oroville, Clara and Barney Caul of Citrus Heights, CA and June and Don Karpen of Talent, OR. She is also survived by two grandchildren; Sarah Spalding and James Spalding of Hollister. She is preceded in death by her daughter Janelle Jean Spalding, who died in 1957.
Visitation and funeral services will be held on June 20th at 1:30 P.M. at Alta Mesa Memorial Park in Palo Alto. Interment will follow the services.
