Salinas Memorial Hospital. He was 62.
Simon Monreal Valadez died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005 in the Salinas Memorial Hospital. He was 62.
For many years, Mr. Valadez worked as a barber in King City.
He also was employed with Food Max Supermarket.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia; sons, Simon Valadez Jr. of Salinas, Raymond Valadez currently serving in the United States Navy, stationed in Hawaii, and Chuck Valadez of Salinas; siblings, Cruzie Valadez, Petra Gonzales, Dr. Senon M. Valadez, Juan Valadez of Sacramento, Dr. Connie M. Valadez of Los Angeles, Anna Villalobos of Salinas, Raymond M. Valadez of Gilroy; along with many nieces, nephews and several grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 9am to 1:30pm Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, at Struve and La Porte Funeral Home, 41 W. San Luis St. in Salinas, followed immediately by a funeral service.
