Gilroy – After four weeks of rehearsals, the 81 students of Gavilan’s Summer Theater Arts Repertory are ready to present the fruit of their labor: the rollicking musical “Fiddler On The Roof Jr.”
This abridged version of the classic – about the father of five daughters in Tsarist Russia and his vain attempts to keep traditions intact while the world rapidly changes around him – will be performed today and Saturday at 7:30pm at the Gavilan College Theater at 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd.
‘Fiddler’ is one of Broadway’s best-loved musicals which has been shortened for the cast of 76 children, aged 7 to 14, with music transposed into keys appropriate for their young voices.
Tickets are available at the Gavilan College Box Office.
Tickets cost $12 for adults, $10 for students and seniors, and $5 for children
