Gilroy – Malibu Heat improved to 4-0 in Men’s Fall CCC League softball play Monday with an 18-4 victory over Cencal Autobody Supplies at Christmas Hill Park.
Brian O’Donoghue and Josh Torres swatted home runs as the Heat knocked Cencal from the unbeaten list.
Isaac Seymour and Angel Trujillo hit RBI-singles in the first inning for a 2-1 Cencal advantage. Rick Hattaway helped Malibu Heat to a 7-2 lead with a two-run triple in a six-run third frame.
Torres and O’Donoghue each finished with four hits. Larry Montez went 2-for-2 for Cencal.
Just Drink It topped the Bomb Squad 21-9 as Dave Meacham went 4-for-5 with three RBI.
Ernie Badillo slapped an RBI-triple as Just Drink It rushed to an 11-0 lead after three innings. Ed Cordia helped the Drink offense with four extra-base hits and four RBI. David Espinoza provided a double and two singles for the Bomb Squad.
The Loco Boys tallied six runs in the first inning and held off Feather Haven Feeds 10-8.
Jimmy Castaneda’s two-run triple highlighted the Loco Boys first frame. Kurtis Salter homered in the Loco fifth. Jesse Nunez anchored the Feather Haven Feeds offense with a single and two triples.
Executive Lifestyles is 3-0 in first place in the Men’s Fall E League Monday after a 12-4 decision over Animal Health Center at Las Animas Park.
Steve Quistian and Eric Groner each went 3-for-3 for the Lifestyles. Justin Baker added a triple and two singles. Chris Hernandez scored three Lifestyles runs. Jonathan Mixter and Keith Hirahara each went 2-for-3 with one RBI for Animal Health Center.
The Good Ole Boys are 3-1 in second place with a 20-8 win over Uribe Machining.
Brian Stelling paced the Good Ole Boys attack with a 5-for-5 effort and five RBI. Jeff Speno and Pat Chris each added four hits for the winners. Jeremiah Campbell hit a two-run single in a seven-run first for Uribe Machining.
