The Gilroy Police Department responded to a variety of crimes in the last week or so, including burglary, lewd or lascivious acts on an underage child and the possession of a dirk or a dagger. Arrests are recorded from the GPD’s blotter dating Sept. 30 through Oct. 7.
Lewd or lascivious act on an underage child
-Mark Oliveira, 36 on October 1 at 10:27 a.m. on the 7300 block of Maple Street for possession of meth for sale, and lewd or lascivious acts on an underage child.
Burglary
-Gary Galindo, 32, on October 2 at 7:09 a.m. near the intersection of Third and Monterey streets for first degree burglary, theft or unauthorized use of a vehicle and possession of stolen property.
-Jesse Acuna, 25, on October 6 at 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Sixth and Monterey streets for first degree burglary.
Driving with privileges suspended
-Frederico Zavala, 30, on October 5 at 8:36 p.m. near the intersection of Martin and Forest streets for driving with privileges suspended.

-Marcus Trujillo, 28, on October 3 at 7:04 a.m. near the intersection of Monterey and Fourth streets for driving while unlicensed, a hit and run, possession of stolen property, first degree burglary, driving in willful disregard of safety, theft or unauthorized use of a vehicle, parole hold, and being a convicted felon in possession of a loaded firearm and ammunition.
-Richard Castaneda, 26, on October 2 at 4:40 p.m. near the intersection of Eighth Street and Princeville for threats to commit a crime, violation of a protective order, resisting arrest, inflicting corporal injuries on a spouse or cohabitant, corporal injury with specified prior constraint, and battery against a spouse or cohabitant.
-Andrew Garcia, 25, on October 3, on the 7300 block of Maple Street at 3:45 p.m. for selling or aiding in selling stolen goods, being a convicted felon possessing a firearm, resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer, driving while unlicensed, reckless driving, using or being under the influence of a controlled substance, driving in willful disregard of safety, and possession of burglary tools.
-Anthony Quijada, 21 on October 7 at 3:43 p.m. near the intersection of Eighth and Eigleberry streets for carrying a loaded and concealed firearm on his person, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, and participation in a criminal street gang.
