No plans for downtown police beat

Here’s a roundup of some criminal incidents in Gilroy this week:
Victim chased by man with screwdriver
Shea Bigelow, 22, allegedly chased a victim down Lawrence Drive at 6:14 a.m. on July 26, screwdriver in hand. Gilroy Police were dispatched to the scene and Bigelow was arrested for making threats.
Drunk in public
Police report that 41-year-old William McIntosh was found crawling on the ground on Fifth and Rosanna streets at 1:28 a.m. on July 27, so drunk he could not walk. He was arrested for being drunk in public. 
Bar fight
Officers responded to a fight in the Longhouse parking lot on Monterey Road at 11:30 p.m. on July 28. Jose Gutierrez and Fernando Alverez were arrested for resisting arrest.
Stolen guns
Four rifles were stolen from a home on Princevalle Street at 1:19 p.m. on July 23, most likely by a worker helping with projects around the house. 
Drugs, weapons, warrants
At 6:37 p.m. on July 22, Brannon Kendrick, 22, was detained for an alleged petty theft from Target on Camino Arroyo and was found with ecstasy, a switchblade and marijuana. Police report that he provided them with a false name. Both Kendrick and his alleged accomplice had outstanding warrants for their arrest. Kendrick was arrested and taken to Santa Clara County Jail.
