Leadership Gilroy celebrates Class of 2011 tonight

The Gilroy Leadership & Education Foundation is having a ribbon cutting event from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today in Old City Hall at 7400 Monterey St. in Gilroy.

The “Level Up” event is to celebrate exciting changes and new programs aimed at expanding GLEF’s role in the community, said Executive Director Denise Martin.

The foundation has been preparing Gilroyans interested in public service since 1998 and now boasts 250 graduates from its Leadership Gilroy training program.

The event is open to the public and will include food, music and a cash bar. It’s an ideal opportunity for people to find out how to make a difference in the community.
