Freddie Sanchez Hardwood Floors moved to 2-0 atop the Tuesday Men’s DD Softball League standings by edging North Bound 9-8 at Christmas Hill Park.
The Floormen responded from a 6-0 deficit after three innings to post five runs in the fourth inning and four runs in the fifth.
Mike Gonzales, Benji Sanchez and Mike Sarich each clubbed a base hit in both rallies for the winners. Josh Torres scored two runs, including the winning run, for Freddie Sanchez Hardwood Floors.
North Bound, 1-1 in the six-team league, received three hits each from Matt Hernandez and Derek Orca.
Walton & Sons Masonry joined the Floormen in first place by topping the 953 Boys, 20-5.
Eric Wischman went 4-for-4 and Johnny Andrade was 4-for-5 to key the Masonry offense. John Serrine scored four runs for the winners. George Salgado Jr. went 2-for-3 and scored two 953 Boys runs.
The Sons of Pitches (1-1) outlasted the Borrachos 15-13 as Justin Tilly, Jonathan Goldman and Jared Patterson each ripped three hits. Kenny Hopf went 3-for-4, and Matias Franco drove in three runs for the Borrachos.
South County Rockery advanced to 2-0 atop the five-team Wednesday Women’s League with a 14-6 victory over DF Gals at Christmas Hill.
Caroline Martinez came off the bench to go 3-for-3 with three RBIs for the Rockery. Sandi Saenz added two hits along with three RBIs. Bri Fata powered a triple, double and sacrifice fly for DF Gals.
DF Gals completed the doubleheader with a 14-11 win over Las Frijolitas. Carissa Kozacek went 5-for-5 and Antoinette Bowe scored four runs for DF Gals. Angelina Fernandez went 3-for-4 with two RBIs for Las Frijolitas.
Corey’s Girls opened a 12-game campaign with a 17-3 win over Pops’ Gals. Alyssa Baker hit a three-run home run, a two-run double and an RBI single for Corey’s. Maureen Hughes doubled and singled for Pops’ Gals.
Mike Radcliff, Leon Lamson and Steve Borgna each scored three runs to lead 2-0 Players-HD Auto Glass by the Blacktop Bombers 18-10 in Wednesday Men’s E action at Las Animas Park. Richard Piona went 4-for-4 for the Blacktop Bombers.
Inglorious Batters reached 1-1 by defeating No Soup 4 You, 13-6. Anthony Lewis went 3-for-3 and scored two Inglorious runs. Johnny Castaneda tripled and singled for the Soup.
The Loco Boys topped Johnson Lumber 27-8 as Daniel Vasquez went 6-for-6 and scored five runs. John Carrillo had a home run in a five-hit effort for the Loco Boys. Sean Subia collected three hits and Chris Adame scored three runs for Johnson Lumber.
