Gilroy High’s boys basketball team lost 48-34 to visiting Palma
Thursday night, ending the regular season careers of seven GHS
seniors.
The Mustangs, likely to participate in the Central Coast Section
playoffs starting next week after compiling a 14-12 record on the
season (5-7 Tri-County Athletic League), had a tough time
offensively, scoring their lowest point total of the season.
GILROY – GIlroy High’s boys basketball team lost 48-34 to visiting Palma Thursday night, ending the regular season careers of seven GHS seniors.
The Mustangs, likely to participate in the Central Coast Section playoffs starting next week after compiling a 14-12 record on the season (5-7 Tri-County Athletic League), had a tough time offensively, scoring their lowest point total of the season. Palma, winners of the TCAL at 10-2, finished the regular season with a 16-9 record.
Tyler Hartman led Gilroy with nine points, while all five other GHS seniors who suited up scored. Senior guard Shawn Aguilar did not dress due to illness.
Gilroy will find out its playoff seeding on Sunday.
