Shante Marcera struck for 24 points to help Williams Dental Lab by Garlic Girls 45-37.
Emily Szyndrowski tallied seven points, Cherie Somavia and Cristine Filice six apiece for Williams Dental. Roseanne Peralez and Wendy Filice each scored 18 Garlic Girls points. Garlic Girls held an 18-16 lead at halftime.
South Valley Disposal ran its second-half record to 4-0 Wednesday by topping Valerie Smith Intero 51-40 in a showdown of unbeaten Men’s Basketball League squads at Solorsano Gymnasium.
Rick Vasquez popped in 14 of his team-high 17 points in the first half as South Valley Disposal grabbed a 21-20 intermission lead. Robert Rodriguez keyed the Disposal second half with 11 points, finishing with 15.
Donnie Gooding worked inside for 10 points for South Valley Disposal. Kevin Steele dropped in six three-point field goals and paced Valerie Smith Intero (3-1) with 20 points.
Team Techron, the first-half champion, is 2-1 in third place after a 56-40 decision over Hard Ninety.
Kevin Siha drained four 3-pointers and led the Techron attack with 15 points. Frank Tomasetti sped to 14 points, Kendrick Arcueta and Eric Wixted nine apiece for the winners.
Aaron Foster led the Hard Ninety offense with 10 points.
Arnold Tellez snapped a 49-49 tie with a field goal in the closing 10 seconds as the Warriors trimmed the Gilroy Bulls 53-49.
Arnold Tellez scored 16 points, Adolfo Tellez 13 and Eric Smith nine for the Warriors. Hector Salgado tossed in 12 points, Christopher Bibbaeff 11 and Steven Quistian nine for the Gilroy Bulls.
Crunch Time used 14 points from Bill Klauer to edge GC Farms 56-50, leaving both teams at 2-2.
Klauer’s 3-pointer with 3:40 left to play broke a 43-43 tie. Jason Wolowitz hit three 3-pointers in the second half as Crunch Time erased a 27-23 halftime deficit. Wolowitz finished with 13, Kyle Billups 12 and Tucker Baksa nine for the winners. Cliff Dennett eased to 20 points, Daniel Crowe 16 for GC Farms.
