GILROY – New Hope Community Church moved to 2-0 atop the Men’s Fall DD Softball League standings Thursday with an 11-10 squeaker over Trevino Brothers Construction at Christmas Hill Park.

Matt Elam’s RBI-single in the bottom of the seventh inning plated Jerry Neumeyer for the winning run. Neumeyer provided a triple and single to the New Hope offense. John Duenas homered and Mark Guajardo went 2-for-3 and scored two Trevino Brothers runs.

Claddagh Brew Crew (2-0) outlasted Gilroy Honda Pilots 9-5. Danny Russo and Greg Sosebee each lined a two-run double for Claddagh. Mario Mariscal Sr. went 2-for-3 and scored two Honda Pilot runs.

Mangia La Pizza stopped SVCC Sons of Thunder 18-7 behind Mario Razzo’s 5-for-5 effort, including a grand slam. Danny Gonzalez went 4-for-5. Mario Flores singled and doubled for Sons of Thunder.

No Soup 4 You reached 2-0 in Men’s E play Wednesday with a 15-9 win over Willis Construction. Jose Andrade and Ralph Ortez each went 3-for-3 for the Soup. Luis Gutierrez went 3-for-4 and Miguel Robles homered for Willis Construction.

Los Guapos advanced to 2-0 with a 23-6 win over the Good Ole Boys. Jesus Begines plated seven runs with a grand slam, two doubles and a single. Daryl Snyder doubled and singled, scoring twice for the Good Ole Boys.

The Borrachos powered past VFW Bingo 23-8 to leave both clubs at 1-1. Armando Uribe, Adrian Hernandez and Daniel Garcia each notched four hits. Ryan Tapia and Danny Melendez each homered. John Castro lashed a three-run homer for VFW Bingo.

Eric Gebhart went 4-for-4 Thursday as Gamers In Control (4-0) defeated Gaeta’s Ballers 18-3 in Co-Rec Fall B play at Las Animas.

Megan Delgado popped a three-run triple and Becky Sanchez scored three runs for the Gamers. Addison Quach homered for Gaeta’s Ballers.

Frank Martinez highlighted an eight-run fourth inning with a two-run triple as JR’s Crew rallied past Blackout Window Tinting 16-7. Ermalinda Garcia went 4-for-4 for the 2-0 Crew. Jeff Smith homered and Chris Velador doubled and singled for Blackout.

Art Naranjo posted three hits as Out 2 Play defeated Gilroy Chaos 6-1. Gabe Hernandez went 2-for-2 and scored the Chaos run.

Big Kahunas created a four-team tie for first place in the Co-Rec Fall C League Sunday with a 10-6 upset of Chaos Crazee 8’s.

Jess Alonzo and Brett Scott each homered and drove in three runs to guide the Kahunas. Maciel Urenda lined a two-run double for the Chaos Crazee 8’s.

Hi-Energy Networks used a grand slam from Len Van Eck to defeat Team FTW 17-3. Alex Zamora went 2-for-2 and scored one FTW run.

Cindy Lujan and Dave Soto each scored four runs to help Anritsu past Gilroy Vet 27-1. Michael Ambrosio went 2-for-2 and scored one Vet run.

Danny Pequeno scored four runs and Bobby Granados collected four hits as Rush Order outlasted Here We Go Quickly 20-12. Tucker Baksa homered, tripled and doubled for Here We Go Quickly.
