Gilroy – Community Bank called on a six-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning to remain in title contention in the Men’s D League second half, tripping up Fritter-Schulz Physical Therapy-Pizza N Stuff 10-9 at Gavilan Sports Park.

The loss left Fritter-Pizza with a 3-1 record, tied atop the eight-team league with the Bankers and Blackout Window Tinting.

Dave Robinson went 2-for-2 and Marco Delgado singled and tripled for the losers. Community Bank responded with five singles in the seventh, Robert Hernandez singling and scoring the game winner on a two-out hit from Jordan Newton.

Blackout erupted past Central Coast Collision 26-8 behind a two-run home run from Julian Alesi and 4-for-5 showings by Anthony Corral and Alex Pena. Anthony Gutierrez and George Martinez each pounded three hits for Central Coast.

Happy Dog Pizza rallied for five runs in the top of the seventh to upset the Bomb Squad 6-2. Skip Yenchik delivered his third hit of the contest in the Dog seventh. Tai Quach went 2-for-4 and scored one Bomb Squad run.

Manuel Gonzales hit a home run, triple and single in an 18-11 Ellite Barbers and Hair Stylists win over Team HJ-FX. Marc Rodriguez and Skip Bloom each netted three Team HJ-FX hits.

Craig Avila Bail Bonds joined Team Talamo at 3-1 in first place in the Men’s B League with a 23-7 win over Talamo Friday at Gavilan Sports Park.

Rich Rodriquez Jr. went 4-for-4 with a home run for the Bondsmen. Mark Terrill singled and banged a two-run homer for Team Talamo.

D. A. Wolfe Construction edged Obata Farms 9-8 as Junior Gutierrez poked a two-run triple and scored on a Joel Vaca sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. Dave Perez went 3-for-3 for Wolfe, Ed Lujan 2-for-3 for Obata Farms.

Good Fellas remained one game ahead in the Men’s BB pennant scramble Friday at Las Animas Park with a 16-15 win over Bad News.

Consecutive doubles by Gabe Duenas, Stevie Martinez and Rich Perez gave the Fellas the needed three runs in the bottom of the seventh. Anthony Ortiz went 3-for-3 and scored three Good Fellas runs. David Salinas homered in a 5-for-6 try for Bad News.

Geno Martinez hit a grand slam and a two-run home run as Maui Tacos Dynamite defeated Dee’z Nutz 15-14. Eddie Gamboa went 3-for-3 and Will Lawrence homered for Dee’z.

Ryan Dequin homered in a 3-for-3 night and Steve Aguirre slapped three doubles to carry Aladdin Bail Bonds-Rhino Wiring past State Farm Insurance 12-10. Steve Boyd, Mitch MacVicar and Rodney Clore each collected three hits for State Farm Insurance.
