Erika Cates scored six goals on six shots with six assists while the Gilroy High Varsity Girls water polo team cruised by Monterey High School 22-3.
Freshman Ellie Pickford had four goals on as many shots.

Nicole Dan medalled for Gilroy as the Mustangs took down Watsonville 277-287.
Dan ran away with things as the next closest golfer turned in a score of 52.
But Gilroy did enough to pull out the win as Cassidy Gilmore and Alessandra Esposito both shot 56 and 57, respectively.
Christal Clark shot a 63 and Vetania Carrasco rounded out with a 64.
For Watsonvolle, the low round went to Gaby Gonzalez, who shot a 52. Krista Arellano followed with a 56, with Zaira Pena shooting 58, Liyana Lopez shooting a 60 and Stephanie Lomeli shot a 61.
