Las Animas Clean-up Day
• Gilroy – Residents are encouraged to join city leaders and the Gilroy High School Parent Club in a clean-up day at Las Animas Veterans Park.
The clean-up takes place from 8am to 12pm Sunday. This is a great way for students to get some of their community service hours. Doughnuts, juice and water will be provided.
There will be a large dumpster on site, and we will also have trash bags and disposable gloves for all. Plan to meet at 8 am near the footbridge on the Wren Avenue side of the park (right next to the condominiums).

Housing experts to visit Gilroy
• Gilroy – Low-income housing experts from the Rural Local Initiatives Support Corp. will visit Gilroy Monday as part of a four-county tour of successful affordable housing projects developed by South County Housing. The experts will visit the 373-unit Los Arroyos development and the site of the proposed Cannery project of housing and retail. The tour also includes South County Housing projects for families, seniors and farm workers in Monterey and Santa Cruz counties.
‘Aladdin Jr.’ on stage in June
• Morgan Hill – South Valley Civic Theatre presents children’s show “Aladdin Jr.” June 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25 at the Morgan Hill Community Playhouse . On Fridays and Saturdays, show times are 8pm. There are matinees Saturday and Sunday at 2pm.
Adult tickets are $15. Children, students and seniors are $12. Tickets are available at Morgan Hill Community Center, Booksmart in Morgan Hill, Gilroy Visitors Bureau.
