Saturday Oct. 13, from 2 to 4 p.m., Gilroy voters have the chance to ask those running for mayor and City Council tough questions at a public forum at the Gilroy Library.Â
Questions will be submitted in writing to a panel of question sorters from the audience members in attendance, and then presented to the candidates by a League of Women Voters moderator.Â
Mayoral candidates will sound off for the first hour, followed by Council candidates at 3 p.m.
Three candidates are running for mayor: Don Gage, water district board member, Councilman Dion Bracco and Councilman Peter Arellano.
Five candidates are running for three open Council seats: Terri Aulman, planning commission chair, Paul Kloecker, former Gilroy councilman, current Councilmembers Perry Woodward and Cat Tucker, and community activist Rebeca Armendariz.Â
The event will be held at the Gilroy Library Community Room, 350 West Sixth St.
