Maria Botello Rangel died Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at San Francisco Kaiser Hospital due to heart complications. She was 74.
A native of Zacatecas, Mexico, she moved to Gilroy in 1965 from Fort Worth, Texas and has been a resident ever since. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking and cooking wonderful Mexican food.
She is the beloved wife of the late Agustin D. Rangel; the loving mother of Gloria Ledesma, Antonio B. Rangel, Amelia R. Diaz, Elizabeth Dowler, Virginia Vasquez, Blanca R. Vasquez, Alice Haro, Rosemary Morales, Agustin Rangel Jr. , Samuel Rangel, Humberto Rangel, and Robert Rangel; the grandmother of 31; the great-grandmother of 14; and she also is survived by many sons and daughters-in-law.
Visitation will begin at noon Saturday, May 7, 2005, with funeral services at 2pm at Habing Family Funeral Home.
