The Gilroy Business Political Action Committee, or GilPAC, is hosting a fundraiser at Fortino Winery from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 19, where guests can wine and dine with local candidates, officials and business leaders.

Admission to the event is $75 and includes Fortino wine, appetizers and a “whole hog” feast.

Tickets may be purchased at the event or at the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce at 7471 Monterey St.

With the launch of the non-partisan and independent nonprofit GilPAC this year, the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce seeks to endorse business-friendly local and regional candidates the the Nov. 6 elections.

GilPAC is currently reviewing candidates for Gilroy Mayor and City Council, based on background, experience, political track and voting records, and responses to a written questionnaire and oral interview.

A list of GilPAC endorsements are to be released following approval by the Gilroy Chamber Board of Directors in mid-September.

Contact GilPAC at (408) 842-6437 or [email protected] for further information about the fundraiser at Fortino Winery.
