Possession of brass knuckles

– Arnulfo Anaya-Castillo, 18, Sept. 15 at 1:53 a.m. near the intersection of Welburn Avenue and Monterey Highway in Gilroy for possessing a pair of metal knuckles.

Vandalism

– An unknown suspect, Sept. 12 at 10:54 p.m. near the 13000 block of Center Avenue in San Martin destroyed the mailboxes of seven victims and the road signs of another victim. No witnesses have been located and the suspects are at large.

-An unknown suspect, sometime during the evening of Sept. 12 at Woodhavens Custom Cabinets in San Martin vandalized the victim’s business building with black spray paint. The estimated cost of materials and labor to completely remove the vandalism is approximately $400. The suspect(s) are still at large.

Vehicle Burglary

-An unknown suspect, Sept. 8 at 2:30 p.m. near the 14000 block of Foothill Avenue in San Martin entered a mobile home trailer while the victim was away from the vehicle for 20 minutes. The suspect stole a wallet containing multiple items. The total amount of the theft was approximately $237. The suspect(s) are still at large.

-An unknown suspect, Sept. 6 at 10:30 a.m. near the intersection of Leavesley and Holsclaw roads in Gilroy broke into two vehicles and stole personal items, including a credit card. The suspect(s) are still at large.

-An unknown suspect, Sept. 3 at 6:15 a.m. near the intersection of Monterey Road and Church Avenue in San Martin smashed the window of a vehicle and stole a purse that contained debit cards, cash and jewelry. The suspect(s) are still at large.

Burglary

-An unknown suspect, Sept. 14 at 12 p.m. near the 25 block of Cohansey Avenue in Gilroy entered a victim’s barn by prying open a rear door. The suspect searched the barn and stole power tools and other farm equipment. The combined value of the stolen items is $610. The suspect(s) are still at large.

-An unknown suspect, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. near the 6000 block of Redwood Retreat Road in Gilroy forced entry into the victim’s trailer and two storage sheds and stole two dirt bikes and various farm equipment valued at $8,980. The suspect(s) are still at large.

-An unknown suspect, Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. at Ba Da Bing Cherry Stand on Pacheco Pass Highway in Gilroy broke into the business and stole $850 in food items. The suspects entered the cherry stand by opening a lock and prying the door open. The suspect(s) are still at large.

Petty theft

-An unknown suspect, Sept. 14 at 10:38 a.m. at the Gilroy Early College Academy known as GECA, which is located on the Gavilan College Campus at 500 Teresa Blvd. in Gilroy, went into the campus locker room and opened the victim’s backpack. The suspect took a cell phone and the victim’s wallet, which contained the victim’s school identification card, two debit cards and $14 in cash. The suspect(s) are still at large.

-An unknown suspect, Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. near the 10000 block of Center Avenue in Gilroy stole pressure washers from a victim’s driveway. The suspect(s) are still at large.

-An unknown suspect, Sept. 10 at 12 p.m. at Gavilan College in Gilroy stole a purse from the women’s locker room. The suspect(s) are still at large.

Possession of a concealed dirk/dagger

-Miguel Presencion, 27, Sept. 16 at 4:03 a.m. near the intersection of Monterey Highway and Masten Avenue in Gilroy. Presencion was drunk and asleep on a bus stop bench, and consented to a search for weapons. A police officer located a long knife fully concealed in Presencion’s back right pocket. Presencion claimed the knife was for protection.

Possession of marijuana and mushrooms

-Benjamin Saari, 33, Sept. 16 at 8:16 p.m. near the intersection of Monterey Highway and Vineyard Boulevard in Morgan Hill for possession of concentrated cannabis and psilocybin, a naturally occurring psychedelic compound produced by more than 200 species of mushrooms. A police officer observed Saari defacing city property. Saar was detained, searched and arrested.

Drunk in public

–Ruben Aguilar, 56, Sept. 16 at 9:19 p.m. near the intersection of First Avenue and Church Street in Gilroy. Aguilar was caught jaywalking, then ran from a police officer when confronted about it. The officer detained Augilar, who was found to be extremely intoxicated. Aguilar was unable to take care of himself and booked into the main jail at Santa Clara County.

-Silvia Tellez, 44, Sept. 10 at 9:26 p.m. near the intersection of Eighth Street and Monterey Highway in Gilroy. Tellez was observed urinating in a public parking lot and was arrested for public intoxication. She was taken to the main jail at Santa Clara County.

Grand theft

-An unknown suspect, the evening of Sept. 7 at Tom Obata Farms in Gilroy, stole 246 sprinkler heads from the victim’s broccoli field. The victim also had an additional 500 sprinkler heads, 44 risers and 32 gaskets stolen from his irrigation pipes that were stacked on his trailers near his broccoli field. The suspect(s) are still at large.

Possession of methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia

-Rebecca Maher, 20; and Danielle Shuttleworth, 21; Sept. 9 at 1:39 a.m. near the intersection of Depot and South streets in San Martin. The two suspects were sitting in a parked car with expired registration and blocking a driveway. Maher was on searchable court probation in Alameda County. She was found to be in possession of methamphetamines and a meth pipe. Shuttleworth was also under the influence of meth. The two were booked into the main Santa Clara County jail.

-Amanda Neill, 23, Sept. 9 at 1:54 a.m. near the 7800 block of Holsclaw Road in Gilroy for possession of Hydrocodone pills and being under the influence of methamphetamines.

Possession of drug paraphernalia and parole hold

-RJ Garrett, 25, Sept. 2 at 8:30 p.m. near the 13000 block of Monterey Highway and San Martin for possession of drug paraphernalia and parole hold.
