The Christopher High varsity field hockey team challenged another stout nonleague opponent and salvaged its second tie of the week, this time playing all square, 0-0, with Willow Glen on Thursday in Gilroy.
“It was a pretty level game all the way through. Hopefully this leads us down the right path this season,” head coach Lia Peterson said. “We are warming up.”
The Cougars tied Del Mar 1-1 on Tuesday.
CHS has three games next week, beginning with its Mission Trail Athletic League opener on Tuesday at Santa Catalina, followed by a nonleague game against Leigh and a league contest at home versus Stevenson on Thursday. Both league games start at 3:30 p.m.
