Songwriter and vocalist Alisa Fineman will be performing at the Morgan Hill Community Playhouse May 15 at 2pm.
Fineman sings in Hebrew, Arabic, Ladino and English. She will be joined by Kimball Hurd, performing songs from their “Americana” repertoire as well as favorites from previous recordings.
The focus of their songs is “spiritual commonalities among all people, with the intent of building bridges through music, to promote peace and understanding.”
Fineman, the former cantor for Congregation Emeth in Gilroy, is now performing that function in Carmel Valley, when not touring.
“We always love to hear her sing. She has a wonderful voice,” said Patty Baggese, the co-chairperson for the fund-raiser. “To have her and Kimball performing is a treat for us.”
Tickets are on sale for $18 and can be ordered at Congregation Emeth in Gilroy.
