Woman injured when car goes off road
Gilroy – A 54-year-old Gilroy woman was injured when her car overturned off of Watsonville Road Tuesday.
Gayle Vineyard was driving a 2000 Audi southbound on Watsonville Road, north of Hecker Pass Highway, about 3:10pm Tuesday when her car went off the road.
The reasons why her car went off the road are unknown, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Vineyard’s car went out of control when the front end struck debris on the right shoulder. The car struck a utility pole and overturned.
Vineyard suffered moderate injuries, and was flown by CALSTAR to Stanford Medical Center, where she was expected to make a full recovery, the CHP said.
Neither alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision, the CHP said.
