Gilroy – Chitactac-Adams County Park presents Native American Storytelling Friday, Sept. 9, from 6:30 to 8pm. Become immersed in the rich culture of native California through stories and legends from the past.Meet at the amphitheater at 6:30. Food and drinks are welcome, but pets are not permitted.

AAUW Kicks off With Luncheon

Gilroy – The Gilroy Branch of the American Association of University Women will begin the year with their fall membership lunch at The Claddagh Irish Restaurant and Pub, 1300 First St., Suite A, Saturday, Sept. 24. Prospective members are invited to learn more about AAUW.

The luncheon will be held from 11:30am to 2pm and cost $15.

Membership is open to any person with a BA or BS degree.

Moonlight Paddle at Coyote Lake

Gilroy – Coyote Lake County Park presents Moonlight Paddle Saturday, Sept. 17, from 7 to 10pm.

Experience the sounds of the wild after dark on the 2nd annual Harvest Moon Paddle. There is a $5 vehicle entrance fee.

Night Golf for St. Mary School

San Jose – The Nite Golf Tournament, which benefits Gilroy’s St. Mary School Endowment Fund, is Saturday, Sept. 17 at Santa Teresa Golf Course on Bernal Road in San Jose.

Social Hour is at 5pm, dinner at 6pm and shotgun start at 7:30pm. Donation is $80 and guest BBQ tickets are $25. It will be a scramble format and individuals or groups up to six are welcome.
