Gilroy – Clean out your closets and turn your trash to cash at Rebekah Children’s Flea Market and Festival Sept. 24-25 at 290 IOOF Ave. Space costs $20 per day.
A car show co-sponsored by the Salinas Valley Impala Club will be held Sunday. The event will also include crafts, games, food, a Sunday chicken barbecue, desserts and lots of fun. A hamburger, cheeseburger or hot dog booth will open at 11am each day.

Welcome to winter “Wonderland”
Gilroy – Try-outs for the winter children’s theater production, “Wonderland Live,” are on the way. Auditions will be held at the Gilroy Senior Center, 7371 Hanna St.

Waterfalls and Wildlife Hike
Gilroy – Explore canyon waterfalls and wildlife on a 1.5 mile hike with a park ranger through Uvas Canyon County Park Sunday, from 9 to 11am.
Bring sturdy hiking shoes, sun protection & water. Meet at the day-use parking lot.

Learn land stewardship skills
Hollister – Ranchers and horsemen can learn valuable land stewardship skills at an upcoming workshop.
The workshop will focus on pasture and paddock management, manure composting, site planning, mud issues and livestock health.
It begins Oct. 4 and runs for the three Tuesdays, from 6 to 9pm, in Hollister. The $25 fee includes workshop materials and a light meal.
