of the Men’s DD League basketball campaign Wednesday with a 51-39
victory over Valerie Smith Intero at Solorsano Gymnasium.

Gilroy – George Chiala Farms completed a 6-0 march through the first half of the Men’s DD League basketball campaign Wednesday with a 51-39 victory over Valerie Smith Intero at Solorsano Gymnasium.

Brandon Greene tossed in four three-point field goals on the way to a team-high 20 points as the Farmers earned a spot in the D League for the second half of the Gilroy Community Services Department program.

Cliff Donnett popped in 13 points to pad his league-leading scoring production for GC Farms. The winners went into the intermission with a 22-21 edge. Al Angulo scored all of his 11 points in the first half for Valerie Smith Intero. Kevin Steele added nine points, including a pair of 3-pointers.

The Titans moved to 1-5 by trimming Handmade Healthcare 54-51 in overtime.

Vance Lee scored four points in the extra session and finished with 20 points for the Titans. Mike Little made six free throws in the three-minute overtime on the way to 18 Titan points.

Brit Bigelow hit three 3-pointers in a 16-point showing for 1-5 Handmade. Nick Possley added 11 points.

Men’s D

The Money Makers earned the first-half D League crown with a 6-0 mark, topping Tri City Warriors 80-51 Tuesday at Solorsano Gym.

William Shaw sank seven 3-pointers in leading the Makers with 31 points. Gene Cotter provided 13 points, Michael Moisa 10 for the winners. Jordan Ventura hit four 3-pointers in a 23-point showing for the Warriors. Jerrell Morales managed 10 points for the Warriors.

Pizza N’ Stuff completed the half at 5-1 with a 67-46 decision over Anritsu.

Josh Ehle led the Pizza N’ Stuff attack with 20 points, 19 in the second half as the Pizzamen expanded a 28-24 lead. Mark Cisernos slashed to 17 points, Charles Perales made 14 and Alfred Echiru 11 for the defending league champion.

Adam Supnet canned four 3-pointers and topped the Anritsu offense with 18 points. Chris Bowles scored 14 points, Kurt Simmons added 10 for Anritsu.

AJ Matthews and Bob Lemmon each poured in 15 points to lead Headstart past Morgan Hill Garage Door 57-47.

Greg Bozzo added 11 points to the Headstart offense. Jacob Garcia erupted for 17 points and Joe Wortham provided 12 for the Garage Door.
