The Las Animas Sweepers rallied past Pro Electric 18-13 Monday
as the second half of the Men’s C League adult softball program
opened at Las Animas Park.
Eddie Adame doubled and scored in the top of the fifth inning as
Pro Electric scored three runs for a 10-7 lead.

Eddie Adame doubled and scored in the top of the fifth inning as Pro Electric scored three runs for a 10-7 lead.
The Sweepers retaliated with eight runs in the bottom of the fifth, keyed by a two-run home run from Kevin Orozco and RBI-doubles from Gabe Duenas and Wayne Pfeffer.
Brian Cortez anchored the Las Animas Sweeper attack with two doubles and a single. Cameron Bautista and Joe Arde each collected three singles for the winners. Adame stroked two homers and a single to complete a 4-for-4 night for Pro Electric. Matt Hernandez went 3-for-4 and scored three Pro Electric runs.
Stubby’s Sports Bar & Grill struck for four runs in the top of the first inning and never trailed in topping Los Amigos Construction 12-7.
Mark Rodriguez, Jess Lopez and Johnny Salgado lined consecutive singles and scored to highlight the Stubby’s first frame. Roy Alba exploded for four hits for the Grillers. Sammy DeLeon and Gabriel Hernandez each mustered two hits for Los Amigos Construction.
Men’s BB
Kline’s Plumbing, winless in a stint in the Men’s BB League for the first half, dented the victory column, 28-7 over Feather Haven Mill.
Jeff Heck went 5-for-5 with a home run and Duffy Kline launched a home run, double and two singles for the Plumbers. Jake Garcia went 4-for-5 and scored four runs for Kline’s. Mike Leslie homered and Brett Scott offered a two-run triple for Feather Haven Mill in a seven-run fifth.
Men’s cC
Jus 2 Party scored in only two innings, yet survived to defeat Temple Inland 9-7 in Men’s CC League play Monday at Christmas Hill Park.
Art Mancera drilled a two-run homer as Temple Inland took a 3-0 lead in the first inning. Jus 2 Party countered with five runs in the third, led by a two-run home run from Mike Howe. Jus 2 Party added four markers in the fourth to make it 9-4. Rene Sanchez sparked the Party fourth with a two-run single. Martin Serrano laced a two-run triple as Temple Inland completed the scoring with three runs in the sixth.
David Signorotti went 3-for-3 for Temple Inland.
Gabe Corral hit two triples and a single to lead Blackout Window Tinting past Rhino Wiring 19-4. Chris Velador went 3-for-3 and scored four runs for Blackout, the first-half CCC champion. Louie Chavarria powered a two-run single for Rhino Wiring.
Michael Gonzalez went 5-for-5 as the Gilroy NAPA Slammers defeated Going Somewhere 19-2.
Ralph Ortez came through with a triple and two singles for the Slammers. Mark Randolph went 2-for-3 for Going Somewhere.
