Gilroy – Danger II completed an 8-0 march through the Men’s Winter C League season by stopping Czar Construction 20-5 Tuesday at Christmas Hill Park.

The post-season for C League takes place Tuesday Oct. 2 at Christmas Hill Park. Top-seed Danger plays either Czar Construction or Pro Electric at 6:30pm, followed at 7:40 by Jus 2 Party and Bike Center. The two winners compete at 8:50pm for the playoff title.

Joel Gaeta went 4-for-4 and Ruben Ramirez lashed a single, double and triple to key the Danger II offense. Gino Martinez poked a two-run double for Czar Construction.

The Playaz upset Pro Electric 13-3 behind the 3-for-3 effort of Mark Rodriguez. Daniel DeLeon went 3-for-4 for the 1-7 Playaz. Frank Twist added three Playaz RBI. Rosendo Acevedo homered and Chris Adame went 2-for-3 for the 2-5 Electricians. Pro Electric qualifies for the playoffs with a victory over Team Talamo Foods Friday Oct. 20. A loss for Pro Electric would lift Czar into the playoffs.

Don’s Vending finished the Women’s Winter League campaign at 7-1 with a 17-3 decision over Image & Design Salon & Day Spa-Guy’s Heating Monday at Las Animas Park.

Liz Adams drove in three Don’s Vending runs with a double and two singles. Susan Shapiro stroked a single, double and triple for the Vendors, Liz Talavera a double and two singles. Julie Wheeler singled and doubled for the Day Spa.

Goldsmith’s Seeds finished the season at 5-3 with a 27-1 victory over M&M’s. Goldsmith’s placed third and will play Don’s Vending at 7:40pm on Monday Oct. 23 at Las Animas. M&M’s, the fourth seed, play Team Ninja at 6:30pm on Oct. 23.

Norma Wendt and Monica Mayclin each went 4-for-4 for Goldsmith’s. Esmeralda Hernandez added a 3-for-3 effort. Sally Wrye went 2-for-3 and scored the M&M’s run.

Murderer’s Row-Manolow’s Glove Repair claimed fourth place in the Men’s Winter CC League play Tuesday with a 28-5 decision over Extreme Air at Las Animas.

The 4-4 Murderer’s Row open the playoffs Tuesday Oct. 24 at Las Animas at 6:30pm against first-seed Rosso’s Rebels. Feather Haven Mill and Las Animas Sweepers play the 7:40pm game on Oct. 24.

Alex Soto, Carlos Diaz and Jess Cortez each went 5-for-5 to lead the Murderer’s Row-Manolow’s effort. Edward Martin provided four hits and scored four runs. Matt Weber homered and Joe Rivas and Randy Evanger each singled and doubled for Extreme Air.

Gamers In Control moved to 6-1 atop the Men’s Winter D League standings Friday at Las Animas with a 24-4 verdict over Temple Inland.

Erik Tovar boomed a grand slam, double and single for the Gamers. Fred Tovar added a homer, double and single. Pedro Flores keyed a four-run Temple fifth frame with a triple.

Bomb Squad remained alive for post-season play by defeating Luna Bail Bonds 10-6.

Damon Romo and Ceasar Vasquez each went 3-for-3 for the 2-5 Bombers. Gabe Ponce went 4-for-4 and Andrew Bollinger singled and triple for Luna Bail Bonds.

The Loco Boys edged the Good Ole Boys 10-8 Wednesday at Las Animas to earn the regular-season title in the Men’s Winter DDD League.

Jimmy Castaneda ripped a two-run home run and Kurtis Salter collected two doubles and a single for the 6-2 Loco Boys. Brian Stellingf went 4-for-4 for the Good Ole Boys.

The AAA-Cali Boys earned a post-season berth by defeating the Titans 8-7, leaving both teams at 5-3. The Cali Boys erupted for seven runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, capped by an Adam Solis RBI-single. Craig Deal went 3-for-4 for the Titans.

Walton & Sons Masonry moved to 4-4 with a 17-11 upset of Deadman Inc. Albert Vega drove in four Walton runs with two triples, a double and single. Darin Edu homered and Clint Ferguson went 4-for-4 for Deadman Inc.

Deadman plays VFW Vets Monday Oct. 23. Deadman will advance to the playoffs with a victory. I loss to the Vets would force a playoff game between Deadman and Walton & Sons Masonry.

Louie & the Outlaws slipped into first place in the Men’s Winter CCC League with a 7-6 squeaker over Neighborhood Pizza Wednesday at Christmas Hill.

The Outlaws are 6-2, while the Platinum Roofing Slammers take a 5-2 mark into Monday’s game against Hollister Motor Sports-Gilroy Steel.

Isaiah Gonzalez homered and singled for the Outlaws. Jason Suniga went 2-for-2 for 5-3 Neighborhood Pizza.

Pacific Coast Bail Bonds pushed across seven runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat the Slammers 17-16. Jorge Landeros hit a two-run double in the comeback to complete a 4-for-5 night. Fausto Padilla hit a single, double and triple for the Slammers.

The CCC Playoff Night is Wednesday Oct. 25. The Slammer game against Steel on Monday will lead to the four-team alignment for the post-season.
