Christopher High’s Tyson hill’s 4-over, 40 earned him the medalist honors but it was Gilroy High that finished with the lowest team score in as the Mustangs edged the Cougars 249-254 in a crosstown meet Thursday at Eagle Ridge.

Hill’s 40 was one stroke better than Gilroy’s Alex Siao’s 41.

Peter Hilkene 45, Steven Lerma 57, Jaeshawn Hoenck 55, Dillon Romero 64 and Frank Maldanado 57, round out the Cougars scores. Meanwhile, Mitch Goldsmith 48, Tommy Cox 52, Cory Gowan 51, Philip Gundy 62 (scratch) and Julian Marquez 56, make up the Mustangs’ marks.

Gilroy hits the links next on April 26 as they host a Tri-County Athletic League tournament while the Cougars head to Seaside on Tuesday for a Monterey Bay League tournament.
