Eugene Abraham Artman, Jr.

Born on May 30th, 1925, Lawrence, KS.

Age 86, passed away peacefully on September 8th, 2011, on his ranch in Hollister, CA. He fought a valiant year long battle with Cancer.

As a young man from Kansas he moved to CA to work on a cattle ranch with his father Jack. WWII Army veteran. He retired from working at Gentry’s after 33 years.

A man wanting to be involved in his community, he decided to drive a bus for San Benito County Express, from the age of 63 to 70.

Gene was a hard working, kind man and was deeply loved by his family.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, son Preston, his sister Lynn Smith, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to celebrate his life Saturday, September 17th, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 Fourth Street, Gilroy, CA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
