Marcia Lee Joyce Perguidi, 83, passed away on January 31, 2018 in Gilroy at 8:39pm at Saint Louise Hospital after battling a long illness.
Born in Sapulpa, OK on March 5, 1935 to Will Maurice “Skeet” Mondier (aka Wilmorris) and Thelma Ruby Tucker, both of Sapulpa. She was the eldest and only sister of three brothers William “Bubby” Forrest Mondier, Michael Coryell Mondier, and David Leroy Mondier.
She was married to her husband, William Mario Perguidi, for 48 years, until his passing on September 23, 2015. She worked for Fairchild Semiconductor for 30+ years. She worked her way up to become one of few employees with high security clearance, opening doors to projects such as the Minuteman Ballistic Missile, and NASA’s Apollo Guidance System. Later, she worked for International Microcircuits Inc. Then semi-retired while working for the Gilroy Library. Marcia was very creative and enjoyed ceramics, crochet/knitting, and various crafts. She held certificates in antique doll reproduction. She loved Old Westerns with John Wayne, and Gene Autry. Country Music like Bob Wills, and Willie Nelson, and she especially enjoyed when her Brothers Bill, Mike and LeRoy would get together and perform. She often reminisced about listening to her Dad, Skeet, play guitar when she was a young girl.
She is survived by her children, Daughter Joi Evalyn Redus and Son, Perry Edward Redus both of OK. Daughter Michelle Perguidi and Son William C. Perguidi both of Gilroy. Grandchildren, Christopher Coryelle Perguidi and Samantha Joyce Mcnary (Emory) San Jose, CA. Philicia Marie Emory, Gilroy and Timothy Samuel Hugh Emory, Hawaii, Stevie, Billy Don, Shawn and Amy all of OK.Great-Grandchildren Yalicia and Lucci’Ana Landers and Skyla Trujillo all of Gilroy. Timothy, Ethan, Na’Kelly, Nathan, and Tyler McNary all of San Jose. Christopher, Timothy and Dom all of HawaiiNephew Mike McKee and wife Jean and Great Nephew Kevin of Boulder Creek.Brother and Sister in law Leroy and Rita Mondier of Oklahoma.
Many Nephews and nieces and long time friend Betty Keck.
Preceded in death by Her Husband William Mario Perguidi, and Brothers William “Bubby” Forrest Mondier and Michael Coryell Mondier. Brother and Sister in law Lucian and Katheryn Perguidi. Nephew David Perguidi and Great Nephew Joey.
