 As part of an emergency project to repair a slope south of Mount Madonna Inn on Hwy. 152 near Watsonville, just south of the Santa Cruz/Santa Clara County line, temporary guardrail and signal installation will begin Tuesday, Jan. 31, Caltrans officials have announced.
Roadwork will consist of closing the westbound lane and having one-way reversing traffic control a temporary signal. Motorists should allow an extra 15 minutes of travel. Electronic message signs are posted to alert motorists. Work is expected to be completed in the spring, weather permitting.
The contractor for this $400,000 construction project is Graniterock of Watsonville, CA.
