Morgan Hill – Anchorpoint Christian came “home” for the first time in three years.
The defending Coastal Athletic League boys basketball team hosted its first game in three years Tuesday and celebrated by defeating Calvary Chapel 84-45 at Oakwood School.
Balanced scoring keyed the Anchorpoint (3-2) win its CAL opener. Junior Ryan Lesondak scored 17 points and had 17 rebounds, and senior forward Victor Rodriguez had 17 points and 15 rebounds. Adrian Rodriguez and Daniel Gutierrez added 12 points apiece.
Calvary Chapel won the girls game, beating Anchorpoint 48-28. Chelsey Urbanski had a big game for the Warriors with 20 points and 15 rebounds.
Anchorpoint Christian is off until after the holidays when it is at Pacific Collegiate Jan. 9. The girls game is at 3:30pm with the boys to follow at 5.
