Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Andy’s life at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Veterans Memorial Building on 6th Street in Gilroy, where he will also be honored by the Marine Honor Guard.
 Andy John Acosta, age 56, passed away peacefully while visiting in Tahlequah, OK. surrounded by family.
 Andy was born and raised in Gilroy, CA. He graduated from Gilroy High School and Gavilan College, where he obtained his Degree in Carpentry. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps. After obtaining his degree, he became a certified Master Plumber and worked 20 years for Foothill Plumbing in Los Angeles, CA. He retired in Glendale, AZ., while enjoying traveling, camping, fishing, and riding his Harley motorcycle. He was also an avid loyal fan of the San Francisco 49er’s and San Francisco Giants. Andy will be missed for his great sense of humor. He always could bring a smile to your face, with a joke or a nickname. He loved his family and friends. He will forever be missed and loved.
 He is survived by his loving children, John Acosta and Dawn Acosta; dearest grandchildren, Angel and Austin.
 He is also survived by his brothers Arthur Acosta, Alfred Acosta, Anthony Acosta, and his sister Annie Padron and her husband Fil, and sister Adele Acosta. He will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He is also survived by his mother Delores Portello, and was preceded in death by his daughter Robin Acosta and his father Johnny Acosta.
