Have a ball at GHS with ‘Cinderella’: The Gilroy High School Theater Department will present Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, at the GHS Theater at 750 W. 10th St. Performances at 7:30 p.m. March 17 through 19 will follow. It is directed by Ethan Stocks, music direction is by Carol Harris and choreography is by Meghan Garvalho. Cost: $10 for students and $12 for adults. Also: A PG-13 twist on “Red Riding Hood” is showing in movie theaters, but students in the Rucker Elementary School can keep it edgy, too. They’re performing their own version of the classic children’s tale: “Little Red Riding Hood – REDefined.” Performances will take place at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
SVCT presents ‘Anything Goes’: South Valley Civic Theater presents the musical “Anything Goes” Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. through March 26 at the Morgan Hill Community Playhouse, 17090 Monterey Road. This is an amusing love story wrapped around one of Cole Porter’s magical scores. Cost: $18 for general admission and $14 for students and seniors. Details: svct.org.
One-act comedies at dinner theater: Limelight Actors Theater Presents “One Way Ticket: One Act Comedies about Airline Travel” today and Saturday at Lizarran Tapas Restaurant, 7400 Monterey St. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Cost: $18. Gilroy FFA holds open house: The Gilroy FFA will hold a free open house from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 9110 Kern Ave. Students will be on hand to share information about animals, agriculture and FFA. There will be games and activities for children to participate in.
‘Colors and Characters’ concert: South Valley Symphony will hold its “Colors and Characters” concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Gavilan College Theater, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd. The director and conductor is Anthony Quartuccio. Admission is $20 for adults and seniors. Children and students with ID are free thanks to a grant from the Gilroy Rotary Club.
