Men’s EE League
Armando Villarreal went 3-for-3 and drove in four runs Thursday as the Assassins opened the Men’s EE League softball campaign with a 17-11 win over VFW Bingo Thursday at Las Animas park.
Villarreal and Joseph Perez each launched a three-run home run and Jason Corona provided a two-run poke for the Assassins. Robert Aguirre and Geno Cavinta each scored three Assassin runs. Adam Kirkpatrick bagged a triple and double for VFW Bingo.
The Borrachos eased past Team Beefy 14-9 as Albert Sanchez stroked a pair of home runs.
Tony Murillo and Joey Flores each notched three hits for the winners. Jimmy Shrull went 3-for-3 and Trevor Sheedy blasted a three-run home run for Team Beefy.
Rich Gallardo went 5-for-5 and drove in four runs to spark Claddagh Brew Crew by ConAgra 19-7.
Greg Sosebee added four hits and drove in four Claddagh runs. Mike Keith scored four Brew Crew markers. Francisco Orosco homered and Gilbert Ortiz singled and doubled for ConAgra.
Matt Elam and K.C. Adams hit home runs in a six-run sixth inning to cap a 19-9 New Hope Community Church win over the Chipendales in Men’s E play Thursday at Christmas Hill Park.
Elam added a pair of triples, while Joey Lujan hit a double and two singles for the winners. Paul Bianchi homered and Eddie Cordia ripped two doubles and a single for the Chippendales.
Jason Mesa and Marc Vegas each homered to lift Walton & Sons Masonry past the Bomb Squad 15-4.
Tyler Maslanka contributed a triple and single to the Walton & Sons cause. Ian Hanley scored three runs. Mark Salazar homered for the Squad.
The South Valley Community Church Sons of Thunder rolled by Heinzen Manufacturing 9-2. Tobem Koppelmaa scored three runs and Mario Flores homered for the Thunder. James Dent and Spencer Straub plated the Heinzen runs.
Men’s CCC League
Johnson Lumber edged past Tax Systems 12-10 in eight innings Monday as the Men’s CCC League adult softball season opened at Christmas Hill Park.
Jose Juarez kept Johnson Lumber in contention with a two-out, two-run single in the top of the seventh to create a 10-10 tie. Phil Ruiz, who hit a three-run home run in the Lumber first frame, hit an RBI-triple in the eighth to spark a two-run uprising.
George Martinez and Jarrod Hernandez each lined four hits for Johnson Lumber. Anthony Bussey plated three Tax Systems runs with a single and sacrifice fly. Carlos Sandoval scored three Tax runs.
Mike Reggiardo went 4-for-4 and Ruben Lujan roped a triple, double and single as the Dirty Dozen topped the Hit Men 15-1. Russ Black went 2-for-2, Ed Turner 2-for-3 for the Hit Men.
Just Drink it trimmed the Desperados 15-14 by scoring five runs with two out in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Johnny Andrade capped a seven-run rally with a two-out, two-run triple for Drink. Isaac Hernandez went 4-for-4 for the victors. Dennis Barroza went 3-for-3 with a sacrifice fly for the Desperados. Bob Stuve and Dustin Hyer each added three hits.
Bracco’s Towing defeated Lozano’s Let Me Hit It 20-5 behind home runs from Danny Banderas and Danny Rubalcava. Isaiah Gonzalez hit a two-run triple and Greg Gonzalez went 2-for-2 with two runs scored for Lozano’s.
Charlie Gutierrez bagged a triple, double and single Monday as Malibu Freezze topped DS Builders 15-3 in the Men’s C opener at Christmas Hill.
Brent Boyd went 5-for-5 and Brian Gates scored three runs for Malibu. Kurtis Salter smacked a triple, double and single for DS Builders.
Los Gigantes defeated Pro Electric 23-8 behind a 6-for-6 effort from David Solis. Mitchell Reese, Jeremy Page and Solis hit Gigantes home runs. Nick Franco went 3-for-3 and scored three runs for the winners. Rosendo Acevedo belted a home run, triple and single for Pro Electric. Danny Sandoval hit a home run for the Electrians.
