The Gilroy Writers Project is the brainchild of Dennise Julia, Adult and Teen Services Librarian at the Gilroy Public Library and Betty Auchard, author of the forthcoming “Dancing in my Nightgown: The Rhythms of Widowhood” as well as chapters in “Chocolate for a Woman’s Dreams” and several other Chocolate books. One year ago, they met at the Wize Owl Bookstore and along with students Natalia Vannie and Kelsey Ramirez brought to South Valley writers a forum where they can talk about their work and share their concerns with like-minded individuals. The Writers Project now holds monthly presentations and workshops by authors who share their experiences, insights and knowledge about writing and publishing.
The Gilroy Public Library is located at 7387 Rosanna Street. For more information, contact Dennise Julia at the library: (408) 842-8207 ext. 3413.
