Gilroy – Kari Moreno scored twice and lined a run-scoring single Sunday as the Ball Hoggs moved to 3-0 in the second half of the Co-Rec CC League by defeating rival State Farm Insurance Big Kahunas 16-5 at Las Animas Park.

Tim Adams helped with four hits and six put-outs at pitcher for the co-league leaders. Valerie Logan tripled and scored on a Hector Rivera pinch-single for the Kahunas.

Frame Your Family In Eyewear also hit 3-0 for the half with a 15-8 nod over the Ballers. Mondo Martinez scored four runs, Nicole VIllarreal laced two triples and a single for the Framers. Jason Brindle went 4-for-5 for the Ballers.

Feather Haven Mill topped Team Hair FX 13-10 Sunday to leave three clubs at 3-1 atop the Co-Rec B League. Cherie Somavia and Mike Leslie each collected two hits in an eight-run second for the Millers. Brian Sullivan homered and Brett Scott went 3-for-4 for the winners. Marc Rodriguez went 3-for-4 and Tony Martinez homered for Team Hair FX.

Temple Inland surprised Dutchman’s Pizza 11-4 Monday at Las Animas to leave both teams at 2-1 in Men’s CCC play.

Jeremy Page went 3-for-4 with a home run and Martin Serrano bagged a homer and single for the Temple offense. Eric Tomasetti singled and doubled for Dutchman’s Pizza.

Pro Electric also moved to 2-1 with a 17-2 victory over Campbell’s Towing. John Carrillo went 4-for-4 and Matt Piedmont homered for Pro Electric. John Ontiveros hit a two-run home run for Campbell’s Towing.

Mike Olguin, Benjie Casares and Dean Filice each homered as Desperados outlasted Slammers 21-15. Phil Clark scored four Desperados runs. Paul Garcia went 4-for-4 and scored four Slammer runs.

California Silk Screening is 3-0 in the second half of Men’s CC play after a 15-1 decision over Windsor Plumbing Monday at Christmas Hill Park.

Joey Garcia collected three hits to pace the league leaders. Paul Bejarano went 2-for-2 for Windsor.

Eric Peterson’s RBI-single in the top of the seventh earned Countryside Daycare Center a 9-8 win over the Las Animas Sweepers. Jesse Nunes went 4-for-4 and Kris Ferguson homered for Countryside. Emiliano Arde went 3-for-3 for the Sweepers.

Kurt GItmed led off a six-run rally in the final inning with a single as No Soup 4 You defeated VFW Vets 19-15. Rich Luna went 4-for-5 for the Soup. Jason Contreras went 3-for-3 for VFW Vets.
