Heather Carroll, the Hollister woman whose body was discovered after a standoff in a Cerra Vista Drive home, died of strangulation and blunt force trauma, according to the Hollister Police Department.
The suspect in the homicide of 25-year-old Hollister woman Heather Carroll has been convicted on three drunken driving-related charges in San Benito County and served time for other cases of driving without a license, but does not appear to have a local history of convictions for violent offenses, according to court records.
Investigators believe David J. Quiroz killed Heather Alaina Carroll, a 25-year-old mother and wife, in the same residence where a standoff ensued Friday night in southeast Hollister.
