GILROY – In the interest of the 2010 Man and Women of the Year campaign, which is a massive fundraiser organized by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero will hold a charity wine tasting event Wednesday, May 26.

The fundraiser will be held at the Kaama Lounge and Supper Club in San Jose.

Tickets are $20 at the door with all proceeds going toward the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society foundation. With the entry fee, guests will be served hors d’oeuvres as well as have the opportunity to sample various wines from 7 to 9 p.m. There will also be a raffle and silent auction.

Guerrero, whose wife Casey has been battling leukemia since 2007, is coming off of a technical knockout victory over Roberto Arrieta on April 30 in his first fight back since August 2009.

The 8-Ball pool tournament will run from 7 to 10 p.m. The winner of a best two-of-three competition will receive a pair of boxing gloves signed by Guerrero. Tickets can be purchased beforehand at Garlic City Billiards or at the door the night of the event.
