The Anhcorpoint Christian boys basketball team improved to 2-0 in Coastal Athletic League play, defeating Oakwood 52-24 on Friday in Morgan Hill.

After a rough non-league schedule to open the 2010-11 campaign, the Warriors (2-4 overall) have settled nicely into league action with Friday’s victory being their second by double digits to open CAL.

Jordan Suniga posted a game-high 21 points, Kareem Lucas contributed 15 points to accompany a staggering 20 of the team’s 37 rebounds and Ruben Alnas had 10 points as six of the eight Warriors deposited at least two points.

Anchorpoint resumes league action today at Trinity High School in Monterey. Tip-off is slated for 5 p.m.
