Gilroy – Bracco’s Towing opened the 2007 Men’s DD League adult softball season Tuesday with a 16-11 nod over the Dirty Dozen at Las Animas Park.
Memo Lopez and Jose Bueno each lined three hits and Angel Fletes drove in two runs for Bracco’s Towing. Alex Rojas went 2-for-4 and scored three Towing runs. Johnny Andrade and Art. Naranjo Jr. each went 4-for-5 for the Dirty Dozen.
Matt Elam’s RBI-triple in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift New Hope Community Church past No Soup 4 You 18-17.
No Soup trailed 16-7 after four innings then struck for 10 runs in the fifth keyed by two Kurt Gitmed singles.
Joe Rabino went 4-for-4 and Ted Tencati hit a double and two singles for New Hope. Gitmed went 4-for-4 with a home run and Joaquin Chacon went 3-for-3 with a homer for the Soup.
John O’Neill, Matt Corona and Chase Locsin hit consecutive home runs to highlight a 16-1 Trevino Brothers Construction win over Kenko Utility Supply. Billy Ashford and Mario Uribe each went 2-for-2 for Kenko.
The Loco Boys powered past Pacific Coast Bail Bonds 21-9.
Reynaldo Lara went 5-for-5 and Frank Navarrete netted a triple and two singles to lead the Loco Boys offense. Rich Hernandez scored four Loco runs. Benito Landeros went 4-for-4 and Joel Gaeta went 3-for-4 for Pacific Coast.
Women’s B
Williams Dental Lab began the Women’s B League action with an 8-7 comeback win over Don’s Vending Tuesday at Christmas Hill Park.
Ermalinda Garcia went 3-for-3 and Corey Casillas singled and doubled as Don’s Vending built a 7-3 lead after five innings.
Celia Bonilla’s two-run double helped Williams Dental Lab tally four runs in the bottom of the sixth. Cherie Somavia crunched a run-scoring double with two out in the bottom of the seventh for the Lab.
Jessica Loza hit a two-run home run and Antoinette Bowe tripled in a 5-for-5 effort as Kluck University defeated Kay’s Kids 20-3. Becky Sanchez scored three runs for the winners. Brenda Maquinalez singled and doubled for Kay’s Kids.
Co-Rec C
The Big Kahunas opened the 2007 Co-Rec C League adult softball season with a 21-10 victory over Team Hair FX Sunday at Las Animas Park.
Mark Logan provided four hits and wife Valerie Logan scored four runs to propel the Kahunas offense.
Anna Patejdl ignited a five-run rally in the Kahunas second with a two-run double to deep left field to erase a 1-0 deficit.
Jess Alonzo went 5-for-6 and scored five runs for the winners. Patejdl and John Jimenez each finished with four hits. Gilbert Ramirez went 2-for-3 and scored twice for Team Hair FX.
Jose Melendrez Sr. went 4-for-4 and Matias Franco clubbed a single, double and triple to pace Out To Play past Icy Hots 10-1. Sat Regalado scored three Play runs. Tim Adams went 2-for-3 and scored the Icy Hots run.
Tim Sorci went 5-for-5 to lead South County Rockery by Gamers In Control 21-10.
Grace Gonzalez powered five hits and Mike Lopez scored five runs for the Rockery. Rudy Tovar and A. J. Martinez each homered for the Gamers.
Chili’s earned a forfeit win over Morgan Hill Bowl.
Co-Rec B
Cary O’Neal Roofing-Greenwod Chevrolet defeated Team Coconuts 18-12 in the Co-Rec B League opener Sunday at Christmas Hill Park.
Greg Woodard and Anthony Corral each homered for O’Neal-Greenwood. Mark Terrill went 3-for-4 for the winners. Dave Perez went 5-for-5 and Josh Padron hit a double and two singles for Team Coconuts.
Pacific Coast Bail Bonds powered past Lights Out 10-1 behind a single, double and triple from Richie Rodriquez. Maureen Hughes added three singles to the Bail Bond surge. Daniel Garcia doubled and scored the Lights Out run on an Eddie Adame single.
Jennie’s Crew earned a forfeit win over Dee’z Nitz and Cherries.
