Book Sale Preview
The Friends of the Morgan Hill Library will host its quarterly Members-Only Book Sale Preview on Friday, June 3, from 7 to 8:30pm in the meeting room of the library, 17575 Peak Ave.
This is an opportunity for members of the Friends to purchase books before the regular sale begins on Saturday morning. Memberships ($10 for individuals) may be purchased at the door.

Go On A Carpet Ride With Aladdin Jr.
South Valley Civic Theatre presents children’s show Aladdin Jr. June 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25 at the Morgan Hill Community Playhouse . On Fridays and Saturdays, show times are 8pm and matinees on Saturday and Sunday will be at 2pm.
Adults are $15. Children, students and seniors are $12. Tickets are available at Morgan Hill Community Center, Booksmart in Morgan Hill, Gilroy Visitors Bureau.

Golf For A Good Cause
Gilroy Community Services will host “6-Person Scramble,” a golf tournament at the Gilroy Golf Course, 2695 Hecker Pass Highway, on Friday, June 3 with registration starting at 1am, a shotgun start at noon, followed by a social hour at 5pm and a barbecue dinner a 6pm. A $100 donation to benefit Gilroy Community Services Theraputic Recreation for the Developmentally Disabled includes refreshments, green fees, tee prizes, golf cart and dinner. Participants must be 21 years or older.

Volkswagen Club
The Golden Gate Chapter of the Vintage Volkswagen Club meets at Giovanni’s Pizzeria in Sunnyvale the first Friday of every month at 7:30pm. They also meet every Tuesday night at the Happy Daze Diner on Union Avenue between Bascom and Curtner avenues.

Church Celebrates Its 60th Anniversary
First Baptist Church of Gilroy, 8455 Wren Ave., will celebrate its 60th anniversary on Saturday and Sunday, June 4 and 5. On Saturday, a reservation only dinner and program will be held. On Sunday, brunch will be held at 10am, followed by worship service at 10:45am. Childcare will be provided for all activities.

Las Madres’ Annual New Member Brunch
Gilroy Las Madres will hold its annual New Members Brunch at 11am on Saturday, June 4, at Goldsmith Seeds, 2280 Hecker Pass Hwy. All new and expectant moms are invited to learn about Las Madres and meet its members.
Las Madres is a nonprofit organization that offers parents of children through age 5 with support, education and social opportunities.

Adopt A Furry Friend
The Friends of San Martin Animal Shelter (FOSMAS) needs to find loving families for the many homeless animals at the Shelter and in foster homes. A pet fair will be on Saturday and Sunday, June 4 and 5 from noon to 5pm, at Petco in Morgan Hill.
Find a new furry friend; make a donation to help cover spay/neuter, food, and litter expenses; or sign-up to volunteer for the Shelter.
