GILROY – The Gilroy Bulls rallied past Hard Ninety 39-37 Monday to snap a seven-game losing streak in the Men’s Basketball League at Solorsano Gymnasium.

Steven Quistian scored 10 of his 12 points in the second half as the Bulls erased a 21-17 deficit.

Hector Salgado and Quistian shared game scoring honors as the Bulls moved into a tie for third place at 1-1 in the second half of the Gilroy Community Services Department program.

Chris Niffenegger came up with 11 needed points for the winners. Joe Wortham sparked the Hard Ninety offense with 15 points. Roger Hernandez tossed in two three-point field goals on the way to a 10-point performance. Josh Torres worked inside for nine Hard points.

Valerie Smith Intero upset first-half champion Team Techron 63-52 Wednesday.

The Realtors improved to 2-0, joining South Valley Disposal in first place.

Mark Cisneros carried the Valerie Smith Intero attack by dashing to 27 points, including a pair of long 3-pointers. Albert Angulo finished with nine, Kevin Steele eight for the winners.

Kevin Siha drained five 3-pointers in the first half and led the Techron shooters with 26 points. Frank Tomasetti helped with 15 points, Kendrick Arcueta eight.

Tucker Baksa popped in 18 points and Bill Klauer added 14 as Crunch Time (1-1) outlasted the Warriors 49-33.

Anthony Bravo hit two 3-pointers for Crunch Time. Arnold Tellez highlighted the Warrior offense with 17 points.

South Valley Disposal turned back GC Farms 55-40 as Rick Vasquez produced 18 points.

Robert Rodriguez delivered 15 points, Donnie Gooding 13 for the balanced Disposal attack.

Cliff Donnett scored 16 points, Chris Locsin 11 and Michael Yoshida 10 for GC Farms (1-1). The Farmers held a 24-22 intermission lead.

Gaeta’s Ballers moved to 2-0 in second-half play in the Women’s League with a 50-33 decision over William Dental Lab Monday at Solorsano Gym.

Laura Hennessee struck for 15 points for the first-half champion. Monica Pantoja followed with 11, Kisha Webster 10 and Antoinette Bowe eight for the winners. Cristine Filice paced Williams Dental Lab with 14 points. Julia Kuwada added eight Lab points.
