Gilroy native named executive director
The San Benito County Business Council recently elected Kristina Chavez Wyatt as its new executive director, according to an announcement from the organization. The business advocacy group has appointed Wyatt, of Meridian Pacific Inc., to the leadership post. Wyatt has more than a decade of business advocacy, public relations and government affairs experience, according to the organization. She also serves as vice chairman of public affairs for the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce and vice chairman of government affairs and community relations for the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce. She is a fifth-generation Californian and a graduate of Gavilan College and the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo College of Agriculture. She lives in Hollister with her husband and twin infant daughters.

Former MH resident creates Opus Gaia
Adora Winquist is the founder and formulator of Opus Gaia, innovative aromatherapy products that enhance personal well being.
Although now living in New Jersey, Winquist, formerly of Morgan Hill, was first exposed to the metaphysical sciences at her job at The General Store in Morgan Hill.
She created Opus Gaia as an umbrella to hold future humanitarian outreach projects, as well as a parent company for her other brands, Rhiamon and Trinity.
