quarterfinals, and the girls soccer squad, which had a bye into the
second round all begin their respective playoff journeys

The No. 4-seeded girls soccer team plays No. 5 Mountain View at 10 a.m. at GHS in second-round action.

Mountain View (15-3-2) defeated No. 12 Oak Grove 2-0 on Wednesday to advance.

The boys basketball team will take on No. 5 Carlmont (21-5) at Independence High School in San Jose at 4:30 p.m. The Scots beat San Benito 52-39 on Thursday night. The Mustangs are the No. 4 seed.

The No. 2-seed Lady Mustangs square off against No. 10 Menlo-Atherton at Mission College in Santa Clara at 6:45. The Bears upset No. 7 Gunn 48-35 on Thursday.
