Wine trail signs were installed guiding Santa Clara County and south Silicon Valley wine enthusiasts to area wineries. The project was given a unanimous OK from the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors.

In celebration of the newly labeled Santa Clara Valley Wine Trail, local wineries and business organizations invite oenophiles to tour local wineries and enjoy food live music for a weekend of celebration Aug. 23-24.
Tickets for Wine Trail Celebration Weekend are $40 each, and include tastings and tours of more than 15 wineries in Morgan Hill, San Martin and Gilroy. Ticket holders will have access to barrel tastings, barbecue, special discounts, new releases and live music at participating wineries.
The SCV Wine Trail was officially sanctioned by Santa Clara County earlier this year. New wayfinding signs on county roads directing visitors and residents to vineyards and tasting rooms were installed earlier this summer. The signs direct motorists to wineries along a circular route from north Morgan Hill to south Gilroy, with side routes leading to the more remote wineries.
Pushing the county to sanction and install the wayfinding Wine Trail signs were a team of local organizations including the Wineries of Santa Clara Valley Association, Morgan Hill and Gilroy Chambers of Commerce, Morgan Hill Tourism Alliance and the cities of Morgan Hill and Gilroy.
