Jozell Aiassa and Michael Mendoza, both of Gilroy, will be married Oct. 2 at Leal Winery in Hollister.
Jozell, the daughter of Steve and Debbie Aiassa, of Gilroy, is a Gilroy High School graduate and is working as a legal assistant for the law offices of Andrea Fortino in Gilroy.
Michael is the son of Mike and Carmen Mendoza, of Gilroy.
Jozell chose Sarah Beams and Nancy Fierro as her maids of honor. The attendants are Janell Aiassa, Butch Foster, Melinda Mendoza, Cindy Dominquez and Stacy Luberto, and junior bridesmaids are Presley Prieto, Lauren Wolfsmith and Mariah Salazar.
Michael chose Donald Prieto as he best man, and the groomsmen Matthew Mendoza, Rich Hattaway, Sean DiLeonardo, Zach Snyder, Richi Muroka and Stephen Aiassa. The ring bearer will be Nathan Avina.
The couple plans to have a reception at the winery and then honeymoon in Maui.
Kim Yafai, of Gilroy, and Lou Donati, of Concord, became engaged on May 12, 2003, in Miami Beach.
Kim attended Gilroy High School and graduated from San Jose State University. Lou attended De La Salle High School and is a Santa Clara University alumnus.
Both are working in the medical industry and reside in Martinez. The two will wed at Edgewood, Lake Tahoe, June 12. Kim’s brother, Darren Yafai, and sister-in-law, Andrea Yafai, are in the wedding party, with sister BJ Reynolds as the maid of honor.
Gina Salazar and Glenn Robinson were happily married March 15, 2003, at the Hotel De Anza in San Jose. The ceremony and reception were truly personal and intimate and were held in the Palm Court Terrace.
Gina is the daughter of Maria Elena and Delfino Salazar, from Gilroy. She grew up in Gilroy and is a graduate of Gilroy High School. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from San Jose State University and is currently working as a speech language pathologist with children who have speech impediments.
Glenn is the son of Atsukao and Blakely Robinson, of Phoenix, Ariz. He grew up in Phoenix and received his bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and his doctorate degree from Cleveland Chiropratic School in Los Angeles. He currently owns a private practice in the San Jose area.
The bride chose her sister, Laura Salazar, as the maid of honor, Adryanna Gutierrez as a flower girl, and bridesmaids Diann Gutierrez, Cathy Julian and Claudia La Fountain. The best man was Keven Lee and the groomsmen were Brad Faubion, Jeremy Bauman and Timothy Lozada.
The couple is happy to announce they are expecting their first child, due in early May.
Gina Marie Angelino and John Anderson were married Oct. 4, 2003, at St. Mary’s Church.
Gina is the daughter of Frank and Betty Angelino, of Gilroy. She graduated from Live Oak High School in 1995 and attended college in San Jose, where she majored in mass communications and received her degree in public speaking. She is currently a property manager for Prometheus Real Estate Group, located in Redwood City.
John is the son of Charles and Rosemary Anderson, of Yakima, Wash. He graduated from West Valley High School in Yakima in 1993 and attended Central Washington University, where he received a degree in construction management. He is currently a project manager for Preston Pipeline in Milpitas. He also is an assistant baseball coach at Wesmont High School in Campbell and a scout for the Cinncinati Reds Baseball team.
Father Francis Cilia officiated the ceremony. The bride chose her sister, Deanna Angelino, as her maid of honor, and her attendants were Joanie Duke, Stacy Burns, Carrie Gasparian and Valerie Vera, all friends of the bride. The junior bridesmaid was cousin Saura Fellows and the flower girl was cousin Jenna Meacham.
Friends Bill Manees, Janson Miller and Kirk Gasparian and the bride’s brother-in-law were John’s groomsmen, with Billy Manees as ring bearer. The ushers were David Meacham, a cousin of the bride, and Kirk Gasparian, a friend of the bride.
After the wedding, there was a sit-down dinner for 200 people at San Juan Oaks In San Juan Bautista, and the couple spent their honeymoon on the island of Maui in Hawaii. The couple has made their home in San Mateo.
