Charles I. Naughton, a resident of Morgan Hill, died in San Jose on Friday, June 13, 2003. He was born in San Francisco on July 31, 1914.

He is survived by his children, Dan (Kathy) Naughton, Mike (Barbara) Naughton, Kevin Naughton, Donna LeNove and Mary (Greg) Stamback. He was the grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of eight. He was preceded in deaht by his wife Marie.

He attended St. Ignatius High School in San Francisco and the University of San Francisco. He served in the Merchant Marines prior to joining the San Francisco Police Department in 1940. He retired as inspector in 1964. He worked for the Bank of California until 1971. In 1989, he moved to Truckee and then to Morgan Hill in 1994. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus, the Elks and the San Francisco Police Department.

A vigil service was held Monday at Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey Road, Morgan Hill. A funeral mass was held today at 9 a.m. at St. Catherine Church, Morgan Hill. Interment followed at Calvary Catholic, Santa Rosa.
