dispensary?
THIS WEEK’S WEB POLL:

Did Councilmen Peter Arellano, Perry Woodward and Craig Gartman do the right thing by choosing to boycott a closed session to discuss legal issues related to the medical marijuana dispensary?

Yes: 1 No: 11

■ No. Our entire City Council needs to grow a spine. This situation is ridiculous. Obviously, Woodward, Arellano and Gartman have a political agenda they are trying to satisfy – instead of doing their job and taking better care of our community. Basically, I have learned I can completely ignore my local officials and do anything I want to – I just threaten to sue.

â–  No. The legal issues should have been discussed in private then the decisions made disclosed in a public meeting.

â–  NO, as elected councilmen they had a duty to attend.

â–  No. I think they should have attended the closed session to get more information on the legal ramifications of fighting the medical dispensary. As my representatives on the City Council I think they should have been there to make a better decision on how to deal with this situation in the future.

â–  No! This is very simple. Council made a decision that was directly challenged in a manner that required a legal response. The closed

session was necessary to discuss confidential legal issues related to the challenge – so do your jobs!

â–  They probably don’t have a problem with the dispensary in town!
